About DLSlide
Our mission, story, and the team behind the tool
Making Knowledge Accessible, Offline
SlideShare is home to millions of valuable presentations — from academic research and business strategy to technology tutorials and creative portfolios. But the platform doesn't always make it easy to save content for offline access.
We built DLSlide to bridge that gap. Our tool lets anyone download any publicly shared presentation as a high-quality PDF in seconds, for free, without requiring an account.
We believe knowledge should be accessible anywhere, anytime — even without an internet connection.
Our Story
DLSlide started in 2020 as a small side project by a team of developers who were frustrated by the lack of a reliable, free tool to save presentations for offline use. We were constantly finding valuable content on SlideShare during research and conferences — only to lose access when we needed it most (on a plane, in a remote area, or when the original presenter removed the file).
What began as a personal utility quickly grew into a service used by hundreds of thousands of students, educators, researchers, and professionals worldwide. We've processed over two million presentations to date, and we're proud that our tool remains completely free for everyone.
Today, our small but dedicated team continues to improve the platform — faster processing, better PDF quality, and a cleaner user experience — because we believe in what we built and the community that relies on it.
Our Core Values
The principles that guide everything we build
Free Forever
We believe in free access to tools that help people learn and grow. DLSlide will always be free, with no premium tiers or paywalls.
Privacy First
We don't collect personal data, we don't require registration, and we don't track what you download. Your privacy is not a feature — it's a baseline.
Speed & Reliability
Your time matters. We optimise every part of our pipeline — from URL submission to PDF delivery — to be as fast and reliable as possible.
Accessibility
Our site is designed to work on any device, in any browser, on any connection speed. Great tools should be accessible to everyone.
