DMCA & Copyright Policy
Last updated: October 15, 2026
DLSlide respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects users of the Service to do the same. This policy explains how we handle copyright infringement claims under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) and similar international legislation.
1. Our Position on Copyright
DLSlide is a technical tool that enables users to access and download publicly available presentations from SlideShare.net. We do not host, reproduce, or permanently store third-party copyrighted content. Presentations are processed transiently — fetched, converted to PDF, and delivered to the requesting user — then deleted from our systems within 72 hours.
Our Service is designed for personal, offline use of content that is publicly shared by the original authors on SlideShare. We do not facilitate commercial exploitation of copyrighted works.
2. Reporting Infringing Content
If you believe that content accessible through our Service infringes your copyright, you may submit a DMCA takedown notice. To be valid, your notice must include all of the following:
- Identification of the copyrighted work — A description of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed, or a representative list if multiple works are covered.
- Identification of the infringing material — The specific URL(s) on our Service or the SlideShare URL(s) that you believe infringe your copyright.
- Your contact information — Your full legal name, mailing address, telephone number, and email address.
- Good-faith statement — A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the disputed use is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
- Accuracy statement — A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorised to act on behalf of the copyright owner.
- Signature — Your physical or electronic signature.

3. Response Process
Upon receipt of a valid DMCA notice, we will:
- Acknowledge receipt of your notice within 2 business days;
- Investigate the claim and block access to the identified content where appropriate;
- Notify the user who submitted the relevant URL, where feasible;
- Complete our review within 10 business days.
4. Counter-Notice
If you believe that content was removed as a result of mistake or misidentification, you may submit a counter-notice to [email protected] including:
- Identification of the content that was removed and its location before removal;
- A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief that the content was removed by mistake;
- Your name, address, telephone number, and email address;
- A statement consenting to the jurisdiction of the appropriate court;
- Your physical or electronic signature.
5. Repeat Infringer Policy
Consistent with the DMCA and other applicable law, DLSlide maintains a policy of terminating, in appropriate circumstances, access for users who are deemed to be repeat infringers.
6. Misuse of DMCA Process
We take copyright seriously, but we also recognise that false or bad-faith takedown notices can cause harm. Under Section 512(f) of the DMCA, any person who knowingly materially misrepresents that material is infringing may be subject to liability for damages. We reserve the right to seek appropriate remedies against anyone who abuses the DMCA process.
